Shawn Yeomans

Middle/High Principal

Shawn joined Wayne Christian Academy in 2020. With over 40 years of experience, Shawn Yeomans holds a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education specializing in Curriculum & Instruction, Leadership, and has a Gifted Endorsement. Shawn has taught grades 5th through 8th in all subjects, including Physical Education, giving her a comprehensive understanding of student needs and curriculum development. Married for 41 years, Shawn has one daughter and four grandchildren. She enjoys cruises, spending time with her family and two dogs, and playing golf. Shawn also loves playing cards and reading. An active member of Calvary Baptist Church, she treasures John 3:16. Shawn believes in the importance of educating students from a Biblical worldview. Shawn Yeomans' expertise and dedication make her an outstanding leader and esteemed principal in the community!

Rebecca Brantley

Elementary Principal

Rebecca Brantley has been at Wayne Christian Academy since 2013. She holds 18 years of dedicated teaching experience in both public and private schools, spanning from Kindergarten through 6th grade. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Reading Education and has a passion for establishing a strong foundation in early literacy. Recognizing the power of Christian education along with students' holistic development, Rebecca values the opportunity to teach the absolute truths of God's word and demonstrate the love of Jesus in her professional environment. Rebecca is a member of the Church of Eleven22. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years, son, and daughter, listening to podcasts, and reading. We look forward to the continued positive impact Rebecca brings to our WCA students and their families!

Sherry Bowen

Sherry Bowen is one of the founders of Wayne Christian Academy and is deeply committed to seeing Christian education thrive in Wayne County. Sherry holds a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and a Master's in Administration, equipping her with vision and expertise. With 27 years in education, she has impacted students from PreK-12th grade through her deep understanding of early childhood education and administrative skills. Married for 21 years, Sherry enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys. She loves going to the beach, attending sporting events, and shopping. Sherry finds guidance in 2 Thessalonians 5:24: "Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass." She is a member of the Church of Eleven22. Sherry is dedicated to creating a nurturing and innovative educational environment, inspiring both students and educators to reach their full potential and grow in their relationship with Christ. Sherry's dedication, experience, and faith-driven leadership make her an exceptional head of school, committed to shaping the minds and hearts of young learners!
